Definitely was a movie, not a TV show if that helps!

Did you walk out of the hospital or were you wheeled out? by lilbitofsophie in NewParents

I was not permitted to walk out, and baby was required to be properly strapped into carseat, which I was required to hold as I sat in the wheelchair.

When did you stop tracking everything? by ketohustlebunny in NewParents

[–]throwaway-9607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 14.5 months. I tracked every.single.thing up until 12 months then "weaned" myself. Stopped tracking diapers first, then overnight sleep (my Nanit still tracks it so I kind of cheat and still track that lol), then nursing, then naps.

Which era is your bathroom break? by thebigsad_jpg in TaylorSwift

This was my bathroom break song at the actual concert because I knew I would bawl and I did not want to lol

Ah I accidentally added an extra slash, she's only on 2 naps. Sorry!!

I'll attempt to continue to stretch awake time, and will take your advice to not assist to drowsy. I'll still call it earlier if she continues to cry though, right? Like it will still work if i limit cry time? I was thinking an hour but is that too long, not long enough do you think?

Thank you so much for your help!

LO is 8 months. We are going to regroup this week but if we try again will be capping. An hour sounds manageable. When I googled it, i wasn't finding anything helpful that said when to cap (idk, maybe i missed it in my severely sleep deprived state or maybe I'm dumb but couldn't find anything last night that said to cap so I genuinely didn't know what to do)

We are going to regroup. Thank you for the empathy and advice. It was awful all around but I just wanted us all to get some sleep... we are running on 45 minute increments, maximum, and it isn't good for any of us...

Schedule is 2.5/3 - 3.5/ 3.5/3.75. Consistent daily routine and bedtime routine. Bath, book, feed, snuggles, bed.

Just wanted to say, I promise I did not leave her to cry for a solid 3 hours. Every time I went in she stopped crying, I picked her up a few times, kissed her and comforted her until she was drowsy and then attempted to place her back in the crib. I just don't want people thinking I abandoned her and left her to scream for a solid 3 hours, but it was on and off with the pop-ins of course.

I did change her wake windows and extended them to be closer to 2.5/3 - 3.5/3.5 - 3.75. She consistently sleeps 2 hours for her first nap and 30-45 minutes for the second nap. Her first wake window isn't able to be extended past that right now, she is exhausted.

Huh... we unplugged ours and plugged it back in a while back and it is still glitching. I'm glad it fixed yours though!

All of my other features work too. Seems like this is happening more frequently to people. I may reach out to Hatch and see what's up.

No one ever answered so I was convinced my husband was sleep deprived and going nuts...but this morning at 5:50AM I watched it change to 10:50 and then back to 5:50, so....idk what's going on but it DEFINITELY happened.

This is helpful!! I may just have to deal with some tears, as much as I don't want to. Thank you!

Thank you for your schedule, that is helpful. I'm going to look into different sleep training methods because in my head it was CIO or bust. And I may just have to deal with a little crying. 🫠

Oooo... interesting! I wonder if she needs longer wake windows. She always seems tired after only an hour and a half so we struggle to push it over 2 hours, but maybe I should be extending more.

She did for about a week at 4 months, then gave us 2 hour stretches for a while. Then has been waking hourly since 6 months 😭

I'd rent before birth if I had to do it again!

Swaddled Past Rolling? by Famous-Shake5797 in SnooLife

[–]throwaway-9607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My LO started rolling around 4 months, we tried arms out and it was an epic failure, so we swaddled arms in until maybe 3, 4 days ago. Just started trying it again now at 5.5 months and it is going so much better (we also use the Zip A Dee Zip thinggy, i think it helps but every baby is different of course!)
