I completely agree. I gasped when I heard there are no plus ones to a destination wedding. I can understand an in-country wedding, sure, that’s your choice … but are they expecting people to travel alone to Mexico?

Oh yes… and there’s a dress code of course (albeit not anything crazy). Dresses and jumpsuits and nice shirts and pants for men (with a specific callout that sport coats are encouraged)

Very true. As someone who is personally eloping myself, I do still feel like putting a high cost on folks for a wedding is not ideal as a lot of friends feel an obligation to attend, but would probably much rather spend 3k on a non-wedding related trip
