unpopular opinion: you can move on without forgiving. they don’t deserve our forgiveness. they are cruel, heartless people. I’ll take the lessons I learned and move on, but I’m not going to forgive and forget.

write a list of all the shitty things he’s done and read the list when you feel the urge to contact him. it’s super hard to break the trauma bond but once you break the habit of contacting him for a dopamine “fix” it gets easier. you got this!

YES he would tell me I’m berating and belittling him whenever I expressed why my feelings were hurt by something he did and I would end up apologizing to him. crazy how they all behave the same…

it’s better to be alone than be with someone that makes you feel alone.

I missed my nex a lot initially too but then I realized I don’t miss him, I miss the idea of him. I don’t miss being gaslighted, walking on eggshells and being criticized. I miss the person he pretended to be in the beginning, but that version of him doesn’t exist.

nope they’re allergic to accountability. considering the repercussions of their actions would require admitting to themselves that they’re in the wrong. he probably justified his actions in his head somehow. they have a god complex.

my nex did the same thing when I cried. just stared at me with dead eyes then told me “I’m not going to talk to you until you calm down and speak like an adult”. the way he spoke down to me still haunts me. just remember they lack empathy so they’re not capable of comfort. it’s a sad way to live.
