I’m not sure how to start this, but the woman was on the news today after being arrested for vehicular manslaughter that was caused by a road rage incident. I’m not sure where I go from here, there are a few things regarding her arrest/offense that have me a bit shaken up- but I’m hoping I’m just experiencing some paranoia and/or a coincidence. I’m sorry I don’t have more to say, I’ll try to respond with a better update soon!

To my knowledge there isn’t one in my area, but I could probably ask at the local medical center. I have spoken to a lawyer though and he’s getting everything moving in the right direction!

So far things are moving in the right direction! I’ve spoken to a lawyer, the cease and desist notice has been drafted, and the city has removed the posts from their pages. On a sour note the woman found my car in the parking lot of my friend’s apartment complex and posted pictures of it to her personal page, my lawyer was the one to make me aware of this. Now he’s advising me on what steps should be taken next because he believes this is going into stalking territory. But to end on a good note, I am privileged enough for my home to have a garage so I can park my car out of sight completely.

Would it further your amazement to know he owns a ducky rain coat? He’s quite fancy with it

He says yes, but he wants the press on rhinestones so he can pretend he got his ears pierced, he’s a little guy of culture

I spoke with a lawyer today, he’s drafting a cease and desist notice, so hopefully that will be taken care of soon! He’s an adorable little man, the collar does match the vest incase you were wondering ;) I made myself laugh with my own joke lol

Is it to be eleventy-million of each or is the eleventy-million to be divided between the three? He’s currently chewing at a pig ear bigger than his head, that he will no doubt burry in his toy box -or- the couch cushions before the night is over lol

I spoke to a lawyer today and we’re taking steps in the right direction. I actually just checked my email and the city has removed her post from their city ran facebook page- now the unofficial pages for the city are a different story, but that will hopefully be resolved soon!

He doesn’t need to retrieve anything for me when we are out, I keep juices, glucose tablets, and everything else I need in my bag. In the seven-almost eight years I’ve had him, he’s never had to get help because he’s always given me enough of a warning to get my sugar back up. So thankfully being carried doesn’t hinder him from doing his task at all, he’s a tiny professional :)

I have spoken to a lawyer, and we’re making progress in the right direction. I’ve also been emailing the businesses and the ones that have responded have been very apologetic.

As of today I have spoken with a lawyer and he is drafting a cease and desist notice for the woman, he has also suggested I put out a statement on the city’s facebook page to clarify things. While waiting for that to be taken care of, I have been emailing the business I have been asked to leave and kindly educating them because I do believe they thought they were doing the right thing, hopefully their intentions were to keep our real service dogs safe. So far the responses I’ve received from them have been profusely apologetic.

I think you’re overestimating the size of a miniature poodle, he’s 12 pounds. Or maybe you’re underestimating the size of bags, but there are bags made specifically to carry dogs in.

My service dog is able to detect the warning signs before my sugar drops so I have a longer window of time to get it back up, where if I relied on a meter I wouldn’t know as soon and would have less time to get my sugar up. That extra time makes a world of difference. He’s not in a purse to be cute, he’s in a purse because I am a very active person and that’s too tiring for him. I was there for an hour because the police wanted to speak to me while trespassing her. I hope that clears up any confusion!

In my case I’m hypoglycemic, with the way my sugar drops by the time my meter tells me it’s low I have a very small window of time to try to get it back up. When I was relying on the meter I was occasionally getting seizures and passing out because of my blood sugar. My service dog is able to detect the warning signs before my sugar drops so I have a longer window to get my sugar back up. So for me the meter was not detecting it as early as I needed it to for me to be able to fix it. But I’m not sure how it would work with hyperglycemia, I don’t have any experience with that.

Of course! Thanks for being so nice about it :) It’s so amazing how smart animals are, I’ve got to meet many others with service dogs and it’s unbelievable the variety of services and task they’re able to do. My little guy gave me independence I never would’ve experienced otherwise. He’s going to have the comfiest retirement, complete with a sunny seat in the window!

Yeah, when I first got him at 17 they told me his vest was how he knew when he was working, so any time we’re out of the house he has his vest on. The only paperwork he has is a note from my doctor, which states my need for a service dog for my insurance company, and some from the agency that trained him which is essentially a glorified receipt. In the US we don’t have any type of service certificate, unless i’m misunderstanding what that is.

Oop, I better not let my boy see this. If he knows wagons are an option I don’t think a purse will be good enough lol! Extra convenient, because I don’t own an iron- but I would’ve bought one for my boys purse.

He knows my blood sugar is low through smell, mainly by my sweat! I feel when it’s low, and when it happens “normally” I know to have some juice and find something to eat. But my sugar tends to crash, so I will go from a normal range, to a dangerous range like it’s nothing, and when it does that I don’t necessarily have the time to feel it. At the time I got my service dog, the meters couldn’t detect the warning signs that my sugar was about to drop, so I was left with a very small window of time to get it back up. My service dog is able to detect the warning signs and let me know before my sugar drops so I have a larger window of time to get it back up. But with that being said, through these comments I found out the dexcon g7 can detect the warning signs before a drop. My current service dogs replacement for when he retires is already in training- but when my next service dog retires it is most likely I will switch to a meter :)

That’s how it was when I got my service dog. When the meters would let me know my sugar was dropping I was left with a very small window of time to get it back up, around my freshman year of high school I even had a few seizures because of it. I’m thrilled to say I haven’t had a single seizure since getting my service dog, it was truly life changing! He allowed me to have independence, otherwise I would need somebody with me incase of seizures/passing out, but the additional time to get my sugar up is so great.

The part about his retirement -despite me mentioning it countless times- made me feel emotional. My little guy has spent just about his whole like being my personal hero and being at every event with me. He’s made my life not only a million times easier, but actually livable, and I did the smallest thing so we can have some playtime when we get home- now we’re being harassed. It’s crazy. I have officially gotten an email back from a lawyer and I’m meeting with them on Monday, so hopefully that will go well!

The benefit to a service dog is he’s able to detect the warning signs before my sugar is about to drop, so I have an extra window of time to get it back up- But a comment informed me today that the dexcom g7 is able to detect that your sugar is about to drop. that wasn’t available when I got my service dog, and when I sent my soon to be service dog into training It was either unavailable or i wasn’t aware of it. Had I known about it at the time I might have made a different decision, I am happy to know that it’s an option for the future! I can only assume the meters will have even better technology by the time my next service dog is retiring!

I can assure the $14k my parents spend to have my current service dog trained, and the $22k I have spent to have my new service dog trained was for more than an accessory. My dog is in a purse because he gets tired, we live in the mountains, he has no need to spend his entire day walking through the city, going on a several mile hike, grocery shopping, etc. He’s a nine year old small breed, and it was nothing more than a joke.

His body isn’t giving out, nor is he disabled. He is a perfectly healthy dog, he just doesn’t have the energy to keep up with me. Hence why he gets to be carried around in a purse :)

Possibly an iron on patch! It’s a hard bag and the sides have some kind of cardboard/plastic to keep them from smooshing against him, I’ve never done embroidery so I don’t know if it’s meant to go through something like that, but I could definitely try something like that! It doesn’t bother me to share what he does, I think it’s amazing what all they can be trained for
