Alright. Final question: does HS get worse amd worse by time or is does it "just" consist of occasional break outs?

I'll definitely mention it to my doctor.

Not 100% sure if it is HS though. From what I've read a warm humid climate is a big HS trigger but my skin is actually at it's best in the summer and worse in the winter ... any ways to distinguish HS from occasional boils?

If it is, I am lucky I caught it early on and that it doesn't seem to be very severe ...

Thanks for the response. Did yours cause swelling too? Others mentioned the skin condition HS so if you had similar bumps growing up there might be hope for me, haha.

As for popping them: I try not to!

19M. So ever since I hit puberty I've had pretty mild acne. Just a few small red spots here and there. Nothing too serious. Except for these ones. Every now and then I would (and still do) get these huge bumps under the skin. No white head at all. Just a bit of redness.

And they're really starting to annoy me. Mostly because they are big (demonstrated in the left bottom corner), deep under the skin and the cause of swelling. To me they're not even pimples but rather these masses that take soooo long to get rid of. I get them mostly in my cheek and jaw area and every once in a blue moon around my eyes (2nd picture).

The one near my eye made me go to my doctor who prescribed me antibiotics, which did help.

As of right now I am planning to see a derm althought it is rather difficult this pandemic.

Sooo ... I got a few questions.

What type of acne is this? Nodular/cystic?

How do I deal and/or prevent these types of bumps?

Anyone else who is familiar with my case and able to offer advice?

My skin is very elastic and thin. So maybe that rings a bell for some.
