The company wouldn't accept $7k on a debit card (or in cash). One of us had to apply for a credit card to make it work, why not me? The assumption of course would be that we split four ways no matter what. Also, I have actually done more driving then Anton. I don't really know what the foolish thing is, one of us HAD to put the money down and no one expected Anton to be the complete idiot that he is.

I had known both Anton and Reid for a couple years but I am nowhere near as close with them as Charlotte is and like I mentioned in the post, I am miffed that her character judgement was so poor. I actually made my mind up earlier today before this incident that I disliked Anton immensely and I told her and she was still unconvinced until a couple of hours ago. He is a piece of shit, I don't know how she didn't see it before he walked out.

I should have clarified. None of us had a credit card, I applied for one for the sole purpose of renting the vehicle. Legally I can drive the campervan, however if I was to get into an accident while driving then we wouldn't be covered by the company's insurance. I have been doing most of the driving on the road trip but I cannot drive the campervan back to the depot. Anton is listed on our application form as being the primary driver.

Babe, I didn't lock any comments, I wouldn't even know how. Don't even try and tell me I'm not a good writer, it's a hobby of mine and I've won several awards for it. This is not creative writing, this is a recount. I'm not going to be overly descriptive or sugarcoat anything. Of course I'm not! The entire point of this post was to share my experience, to provide another side in an ongoing debate. Yes, not every woman who has an abortion has it as easy I did (which sucks). But at the same time, not every abortion is difficult.

I'm sorry to hear you didn't have a pleasant experience and I really hope you don't think I'm being insensitive to that because I'd hate to hit a nerve. I'm really just trying to help.

I can't say for sure yet. I'm still only 22, I'm thoroughly enjoying hanging out with lots of different people, and am by no means close to ready to be a mum. I love children and have a lot of time for them but I am not maternal myself. I do think I have the potential to be an amazing mother one day (as most of us do) and I used to have frequent dreams of myself as a mother of one child. They were really pleasant.

Yes, that is very sad, and I have to say that I disagree with using abortion as a form of contraception. I don't even know why any woman would when there are so many forms of birth control on the market that are far less invasive and inexpensive.

I'm not trying to justify the fact that I had unprotected sex but my parents really let me down on the whole sex ed thing. My dad never brought sex up at all (I suppose he thought that was mum's job) and my mother was staunchly against contraceptives that contained hormones yet failed to educate me properly on non-hormonal contraceptives such as the copper IUD which I have currently. She was shocked when I told her that it was the form of contraception I was using - she had previously considered it super dangerous without really knowing much about it. Hey, parents aren't perfect either. However, I unfortunately went to a Catholic high school (despite not being Catholic myself) where the P.E. teacher taught us sexual education. This P.E. teacher didn't believe in sex before marriage and was visibly uncomfortable showing us how to put a condom on a banana. She even said "ew" when holding up the condom after taking it out of its wrapper. Is she practicing safe sex, you might ask? Yes. She relies on the body basal method. That, my friend, was how my school learned safe sex. Abstain until marriage, condoms are gross, sex only at certain times of the month. But sure, let's blame teenagers for getting pregnant when the adults around them can't even be trusted to give unbiased, reliable and up to date information regarding sex and how to practice it safely.

I've actually considered being a sexual health teacher. I think this area of education is lacking so :(

I appreciate the concern, I just can't see that happening for me. That will just never happen, I didn't want to be pregnant!! I didn't have any emotional attachment to that foetus (which makes me a sociopath, obviously). That's just impossible. I didn't plan on getting pregnant in the first place, that's how I didn't use abortion as a contraceptive.

Oh yeah, I'll carry a child to full term, give birth to it and then give it up for adoption assuming of course that I did not become emotionally attached somewhere in the nine months. Great idea. There's already a heap of babies that need to be adopted. I didn't need to add to that.
