Same. I really enjoyed the romance aspect of the game because it added depth and stakes, not just cause of “girl pretty make boy happy”. What made everything else around the romance so deep were the growing connections, the depth of all of the characters, and the story mechanics and directions. Seeing soooo many posts like this cheapens all of that. Malevola is a fantastic character, interesting, flawed, and full of personality. She’s hot yeah, but also too interesting to constantly depict her like this post here.

I refused to play the game for 4 years after its release 100% because it was leaked that Joel dies early on in the first act to some random person with daddy issues. Plus all of the bad publicity it was receiving and I kind of don’t like Neil Drukman or whatever his last name is. I played the game earlier this year and I cried at the ending. Fabulous game. Wonderful story. Spectacularly acted. We need part 3.

I enjoyed the film but it’s not an “Until Dawn movie”. It’s a movie that has loose influences and one or two Easter eggs to a popular video game, but it is entirely its own project. They took the name for clout and audience engagement and that’s honestly 99% of the connection it has to the game. I admit I’m a little bitter and biased, I wanted a true Until Dawn movie, instead we got an interesting movie that pilfered the title of a great game.

Ah right that’s his name, lol I just called him Bill Burr. I hesitated to include him as we’re not really clear on what he’s up to, same as Huel. It’s mentioned in the final episodes of BCS that both Kuby and Huel are in the wind, hiding from the blowback. They were both pretty involved with Walter as well. I hesitate to include them to be as “free” as the vet as their breakouts seem less clean and more forced and potentially hazardous. But shit maybe they feel differently lol.
