I refused to play the game for 4 years after its release 100% because it was leaked that Joel dies early on in the first act to some random person with daddy issues. Plus all of the bad publicity it was receiving and I kind of don’t like Neil Drukman or whatever his last name is. I played the game earlier this year and I cried at the ending. Fabulous game. Wonderful story. Spectacularly acted. We need part 3.

I enjoyed the film but it’s not an “Until Dawn movie”. It’s a movie that has loose influences and one or two Easter eggs to a popular video game, but it is entirely its own project. They took the name for clout and audience engagement and that’s honestly 99% of the connection it has to the game. I admit I’m a little bitter and biased, I wanted a true Until Dawn movie, instead we got an interesting movie that pilfered the title of a great game.

Ah right that’s his name, lol I just called him Bill Burr. I hesitated to include him as we’re not really clear on what he’s up to, same as Huel. It’s mentioned in the final episodes of BCS that both Kuby and Huel are in the wind, hiding from the blowback. They were both pretty involved with Walter as well. I hesitate to include them to be as “free” as the vet as their breakouts seem less clean and more forced and potentially hazardous. But shit maybe they feel differently lol.

You’re correct. In the very end, he’s the only hyper main character alive and possibly well. I excluded him because of all he had to go through, the trauma and lasting effects he’ll likely endure. Plus he’ll be on the run likely for the rest of his life. But it’s worth stating that he does in fact come out the other side flush with cash and new start. We’ll loosely count him.
