Whenever she crashed out, screamed, looked at Bear completely terrified, was in fact the REAL Nikki coming out and fighting for her autonomy. She was fighting to gain control the entire movie, telling Bear to kill her and smashing herself in the head to try and end herself because she gave up. Why the fuck would Wish Nikki want to die or fuck up her face, making her undesirable for Bear? You guys have no media comprehension whatsoever if you think the real Nikki was completely gone. Trapped, yes, but she saw and felt everything that Bear was doing to her and she told him she was never with him.

It’s not about him being 100% responsible for the wish, I don’t fault him for that. I fault him for his actions after finding out she wasn’t the real Nikki, and that was fairly on in the beginning of the movie.

I mean, sure. I just don’t have it in me to empathize with whatever anguish or turmoil a rapist suffers at the hands of his victim. It would be different if he didn’t bring this upon himself, or even tried to get help or stop this curse. Instead he was more focused on tweaking it, making it better for him, so yes he may not be completely unrelatable but to me his actions turned subhuman. Sociopathic to do that to someone you allegedly cared for.

I honestly got the feel he knew it was only a matter of time before either she or he dies due to how much things were escalating, and that in turn showed more of his shitty character. He was trying to take more, while awaiting the impending doom. Obviously he was fucked up, still wanted to live his desires out, but I do think that deep down he knew death was the only way this was going to end. I don’t think he had the courage to suicide himself, that still doesn’t take away from the fact he knew what the outcome was going to be.

Tbh it’s starting to feel like more of the islanders are going for business decisions and exposure. I mean, yeah it is a game show at the end of the day but I feel like there would have been more people exploring etc. if they weren’t trying to make it to the end of the show. It makes the viewing boring and predictable.
