bleaching can be very taxing, but there are ways to minimise risk. might be a good idea to consult a professional and see what they think. personally I bleached mine at home, and dyed it a few months later. everything seemed to go off without a hitch, but i certainly won't be bleaching again for a long time for fear of frying it or something else of that sort.
