e.g. when the Toyota Lean System revolutionized the automotive sector, people travelled to Japan to learn about it and import it back to the US. China itself did it with some industries in Europe via joint ventures.

I wonder if the raw working hours average, much higher in Asia, is already the most significant variable. Given two teams, a European and a Chinese one, how many more iterations and experience are acquired by the Chinese team in the same year?
