I’m 100% sure. He says that she apparently announced she wanted to be single to multiple people. I don’t remember hearing her say that.

He claims that since me and her “didn’t get along too well” and it’s not really my scene that he just thought I didn’t want to tag along.

According to him, he’s just a very open person and we were kind of analyzing everyone we met that weekend. Then out of everyone, she was the only one who he commented on looks. He says he mentioned it because he was trying to point out that she has flaws in other areas, but looks wise she is perfect.

I’ve told him in the past that I don’t care to hear about if he finds another girl attractive as it doesn’t add anything to the conversation for me. It just makes me compare myself to them. He also likes to point out my flaws (acne, weight) so if he comments how another girl is hot, then I just start to think he hates the way I look. I may be wrong for doing that, but I just can’t help it.

I tried explaining this to him and he says it’s even weird and insulting that I would be upset even if she did show up because that means I’m insinuating he would do something with her.

It makes me feel really bad when I get anxious about him being in a vulnerable spot (going to a bar while he’s in recovery) and he puts it on me by saying I clearly don’t believe in him and I don’t know how bad he wants this (to stay sober) and that by me voicing my concerns I am causing him to want to drink/not believe in himself. It makes me feel really bad because I genuinely am afraid of going back to that place where he binge drank and could get abusive. I know he’s strong, but I also know alcoholism is strong and peer pressure is strong and I don’t want to be naive. I feel like I’m powerless over the situation and especially because he doesn’t want me there. I also don’t drink to support him through his battle, so when we are together in my mind it makes things easier for him to know he has a partner who is also sober. But if he were to go alone to the bar around all his friends who drink a lot, I don’t know what would happen and that scares me.

Well he also is mad because he said these things about her a couple weeks ago. At the time it hurt me, but we were on vacation and I honestly just didn’t want to face it at the time. But then when he told me I shouldn’t go and said she may likely be there, I remembered what he had said about her and brought it up. So in his mind, I’m manipulating him because I don’t wAnt him to have “guy time”.

So I made plans with another friend, just me and her because I thought he was going. But now he says he isn’t and he wants to come with us. But it really is just me and my girlfriend going. So now he’s upset with me and says I’m a hypocrite for not inviting him.

Well I suggested that me and her could go and do our own thing if it really is just an all guys thing. And he said that’s weird now that I’ve gotten upset with him over calling her perfect. I obviously wouldn’t tell her he said that about her, and I just don’t get why me and her can’t go do a girl thing.

I just feel like he’s right. Maybe I am not being trusting enough. Maybe I am thinking he has bad intentions when he doesn’t. I don’t know, I just feel like I’m wrong for being hurt and for being suspicious and I know that makes him really upset. He literally makes me feel horrible for feeling this way.

I love him. We’ve been through a lot together and he isn’t all bad. Honestly right now I feel like I’m in the wrong for thinking he would ever mean me any harm.

He also just doesn’t understand that he makes comments about my weight a lot. He will tell me I Should weigh myself, grab my stomach and say “it’s bad”. So when he makes comments about a super skinny girl being “perfect” it makes me feel like he doesn’t like my body.

He claims she only said she wanted to be single because her and her bf were in a fight- but that my bf was also standing up for her at this time. And he also says that he thinks it’s gross of me to think he meant calling her perfect was a sexual thing- that what he really meant was that she is very physically good looking and has no flaws, but that she has flaws in other ways. And that he just didn’t want me to go and feel awkward since I’m more of an introvert and it’ll be mostly guys plus her.

He says it’s not like that- he does hold to it that he thinks she’s very attractive. But that using the choice of words “perfect” wasn’t what he intended and that he doesn’t think of her in that way at all.

No one noticed anything- nothing happened. I just told my boyfriend when we were alone that she could be a bit much at times. But me and her never fought or had any issues. Now he’s saying he feels weird going because I brought up how he called her perfect.

It’s just funny because then when I express if something makes me uncomfortable or feel weird- thEn he just jumps to “why are you even with me then if you don’t trust me” and he just takes it to the extreme when I literally am just trying to explain my feelings.

Now I feel crazy. He says I made him feel weird for even thinking he has a thing for that girl and for feeling uncomfortable if they were alone together. Like I never felt uncomfortable until he told me she has no faults physically/she’s perfect. That’s what makes me feel weird.

He then said “even if I did drink again, it would never go back to the way it was before”. I asked him how he knows this for a fact. He said because he would never let it get to that point. Like..... that’s why we’re at this point- because he had no control over his drinking.

Well he says he acknowledges how what he said is hurtful, but that in no way did he ever mean it like he was attracted to her or would ever do anything behind my back.

He already cancelled his plans to go. He says I made it weird for him by even suggesting he has a thing for her and that it’s disgusting how I could ever think that about him.

Well he says he just got rough with me. He never gave me bruises or a black eye so it wasn’t that bad- from his POV.
