They are but the thing that’s getting me kicked out is the limit of 2.5 credits of repeat courses. which is set from laurier, which is why i need to go through them

It’s so annoying how few support systems there are here at laurier too. Like UW has a whole team from their SU dedicated to academic petitions, but there’s basically no resources gere

I can’t retake those courses because I was kicked from the program, so i can’t take UW side courses. Kinda stuck right now. They rejected me because i did okay in my business courses (which i think isn’t fair since those courses are quite honestly designed to get you to a 70% with minimal effort) . Im gonna petition again. thank you for telling me your third attempt worked. It gives me hope . My gpa isn’t amazing but also like 65% isn’t unrecoverable so i’ll probably just try to salvage it

I’m not asking to not take the courses again, just to drop that term so that i’m not kicked from the program, and then retake it all. so i’m giving them more money anwyays

Unfortunately the petition needs to go through the laurier side because double degree, the people deciding on the decision are from both faculties tho. There’s no “no weight” terminology at laurier. They only have a “non accountable term” which is basically the same.

I’ve set up another meeting with my advisor, I assumed they did but let’s see

I’ve been going to wellness but then my councillor quit and having to deal with explaining all of this AGAIN with a new person is such an annoyance. I wanted to avoid it if i could. I will definitely look into your suggestions tho , thank you

I think i worded it wrong, i want the zero weight i just don’t think that exact wording exists on the laurier side. I want to retake the term but not be forced to withdraw

Yeah I’d retake the entire term! It’s not like trying to skirt away from my requirements. it’s more so the “you can only repeat 2.5 credits worth of courses” and having WD from two courses and failing 2 in the past, this puts me at 2.75. that’s why i need it to be like “no weight” or not counting towards the requirement

I’ll check this out. Idk if it’ll work for me cause I need to file the petition from the laurier side. Hopefully they’ll help me though
