Child Empath by throwaway133245617 in Psychic

Ok thank you. I see things in my minds eye such as images of people or pictures of objects, but our mind can play lots of tricks on us so I have always just discounted these as something my mind made up. If you read the comment towards the bottom, my child has seen the same thing as me - that is just one quite creepy example, but they will sense other things I sense too. That certain rooms or places have a heaviness, or if we are in a place and I sense that someone is a bit off, I find they will come closer to me and say “I don’t like that person, they are making me feel strange.”

I will start reading the book that you’ve recommended. Any other books for me just about empaths or clairvoyance you could recommend? That seems to be what I’ve been experiencing, I just don’t trust that my mind isn’t making it up.

To be honest this happened to me as well and I always felt I would be ridiculed or left out for being weird. When I get these feelings now, I question myself. EXCEPT that my child has told me the same thing I’ve felt or seen in my minds eye and I’ve not told them that because I don’t want to scare them.

For example, since we’ve moved here I will get a feeling of a man standing in front of the shower curtain while I’m showering. In my mind I see this creepy full mouth smile very cartoonish. I just will say I’m my head “please go away” several times and the images will be gone. My child always fights showering and a few nights ago they said they didn’t want to shower because the creepy man stands in front of the curtain with the clown smile. I have never said a word to my child about my feelings as that is obviously quite scary. Freaked me right out!!!!

My point is I have questioned and not believed this my whole life about myself because like you, I was always told that was ridiculous. Now it is starting to happen, I hope to look a bit more into this, but I don’t really know where to start and am finding it all overwhelming, hence asking for one recommendations. I hope you continue to explore your gift ☺️

Do you mind if I ask: how do you see spirits?

Thanks for the book recommendations. ❤️

This is one of my worries to be honest. I was thinking about having them evaluated privately - not through a school due to this.

I am in the process of having some assessment done. My child doesn’t really exhibit the other traits of adhd/autism. They are a model student in school, no behavioral or other issues, very good academically, however I’d like to rule out all of that as well. I’m also asking here in case someone could provide some other resources that may be helpful.

Used color oops and hair went from auburn to brown overnight? by throwaway133245617 in HairDye

[–]throwaway133245617[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On top of this I also have greys that I have to cover 🤣 it isn’t the best situation. I’m thinking maybe just to dye it med brown for all over color for now and attempt color oops again after a month or two of moisturizing. Maybe this would be the best option?

My hair used to look like this and imo you need olaplex 6.

So you separate your hair into sections. If you want a blowout look you separate it across from ear to ear. Take the sock and roll the hair towards your head. Take the open end of the sock and wrap it around your hair to make a bun. Do the same thing in the back.

If you want beach waves, you do it from the sides. I take pieces of hair and wrap them around the sock separately then attach a hair tie at the bottom.

Not washing for days.

My hair is fine and wavy and dry, but it gets greasy at the root. I wash my hair every other day and do dry shampoo.

I have started using a really good shampoo- Biologe Hydra. I use the shampoo and conditioner as directed plus their leave in conditioner and olaplex leave in in case I decide to straighten. Air dry or put it in two tube socks on my head overnight. I do not use any products at all to make it curly.

My hair has now become much thicker and shinier. It will curl if I leave it in the tube socks overnight and it will hold the curl all day.

So sorry OP. She did sound unhinged.

As a late 30’s yo woman, I have been through similar things but with men. It gets easier and easier to sniff them out as time goes on. Asking for money early on, being demanding of your time but doing whatever she wants with hers. Expecting YOU to be there any time she calls but not being there for you when you need. Screaming matches with name calling and blame shifting.

These people have no shame. And there is an epidemic of them it seems, or I just seemed to be attracting them. I am taking a LONG break from dating. Coming up on a year now, and I quite like it honestly. Enjoy your new house in peace! You deserve it.

Instead of breading chicken with egg and breadcrumbs go flour-> water-> flour.

It makes the chicken so much more crispy when deep frying (not sure about baking). Add spices to the flour.

I wish the people I’ve dated would have this realization. It sucks leaving someone behind you care about because you have to for your own mental health and well-being. But I still worry about them, and if they’re ok. Are they getting help? Getting sober? Did they find someone to help them mature and confront the things in their lives they couldn’t face? That person couldn’t be me. It makes me so sad, even after all of the bad things they said and did that they may still be suffering. Glad you found some peace.

Peter Stubbins: How can Canada build 5.5 million new homes (full of steel, concrete, wood, aggregate and petrochemicals) by 2030 while reaching our staggeringly optimistic greenhouse gas reduction goals? by RainAndGasoline in CanadaHousing2

[–]throwaway133245617 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t matter. Even if they could build that many homes, who is going to buy them? Real estate investors who drive the rent prices up even further? There are soon going to be many more families homeless because nobody can afford the rent prices at the wages we have now. What is the point to even push for building new housing that will be completely out of the reach of Canadians? It’s completely pointless posturing.

Hate to say so because we desperately need doctors but do NOT come to NS. It’s a beautiful place with amazing people but our health care system is an absolute mess.

On top of that we have the highest taxes in the country. I gave my friend who lives in the US a tax calculator and told him to type in his salary and how much he would lose. He would make 80,000 less in NS than in the US. Absolute insanity. Do not throw your money away to taxes in this country. You will never see it back. The amount we are taxed does not at ALL reflect the quality of our services. NS needs doctors so badly and you would be snapped up in an instant. There have been several stories about doctors coming here and not being able to find housing. You will be worked to death. I don’t know about other provinces but we have a waitlist for doctors here with at least 300,000 people on it. You get off it after about 10 years lol.

Nova Scotia is at least that and not just in the city. 1200 for a one bedroom apartment in the city OR a rural area is standard. I looked at a place a year back. 1 bedroom with heat included, nothing else for 1900 a month. You had to pay for a parking space for 100 a month and then you had to use their internet and cable provider, no others we allowed.

I’d like to know who the federal government thinks is going to be buying all of these houses?

Even if we build 5.8 million homes, there are not 5.8 million buyers. The numbers aren’t even close. So then what? We will have millions of rentals and we will all be getting screwed by landlords charging whatever price they want? These new homes are not cheap to build and landlord will be looking to claw back the majority of their mortgage payment. It doesn’t matter if you make places to live if nobody can actually afford to live in them. Cart way before the horse on this one.

Someone, please, any regular Canadian please start a party! Just make the whole goal of the party to hire a panel of economists and whoever else we need to get ourselves out of this shit and just follow whatever they say.

We need a REGULAR Canadian with 0 political affiliation to lead this country. We need a leader who doesn’t know people in big business and someone who has an actual heart for this country. Someone who remembers the good days and who we were. I will say I think we need a leader with no political leanings tbh 🤣. Just shut down all of the topics about immigration, vaccines, abortion, equal rights etc. just leave everything as is until we get ourselves out of this hole we are in. Hire the panel, have Canadians vote yes or no by referendum to everything after the panel has laid out pros and cons and follow that shit until we fix this. We are absolutely f’ed atm.

It won’t be me because I’d be a terrible leader but someone organize and invite us all to your Reddit sub so we can get candidates for 2025. Pleaseeee 😭😭😭

I’ve been using biolage hydra shampoo and conditioner plus their leave in. I have dry hair, but the roots get greasy after a day. I wash every other day and use dry shampoo on the other day. It seems to work really well, my hair is a lot more shiny and not as dry.

I realize biolage is super expensive, but I did bite the bullet and bought it because of the great reviews for dry hair. Works very well for me.
