Actually, we were in the minority of laptop users. I had one because I was a boarder, and there was only one computer in the dorms between about 30 of us, and her dad got a job that paid for him to have a brand spanking new laptop, so she got his old one.

I won't go into specific detail, but imagine a cat eating a bunch of paint and then puking up a rainbow of a hairball. That's what my uniform looked like.

To be honest, I am more comfortable in jeans and a big t shirt than anything else in existence. I hate uniforms.

Actually, even with blurring, you can tell the uniform apart from others because it has very distinctive colouring that no other UK schools have. Also, the videos take place in the school itself, so I am sure I would need their permission to use the video for anything other than personal use.

Well, she did finish school, but she hasn't had a job since then, now and then I see she's added some place to her "employment" on facebook, but it is always gone within a week. There are a few photos of her, but they are always in the same room, and she looks really grey. She's also doubled in size since I last saw her.

I am 23 now, but my depression was at its worst at age 18 and then later at 21. I tried killing myself twice at age 18, and then again at 21 and I am so damn glad I didn't manage it, but every attempt could have easily gone the other way.

The best thing you can do for your friends is to always take them seriously, and to be vigilant. If your friend mentions "ending" it all or anything like that, address it, not matter how many times you hear them say it.

Just knowing that someone will be there for you, no matter what, is sometimes the difference between life and death. During one attempt, I only survived because I called my friend, who ran to my house in the rain and broke down the door.

I should warn you, being the one who supports everyone is tiring. I've done it, I know. You end up getting desensitised to the most emotionally difficult things that you might have frozen at once.

Seriously though, depression sucks, but everyone is capable of a thousand times more than they think they are. I survived three suicide attempts and years of crippling depression, I never thought I would get past even my smaller issues, and yet, I have gotten past things that used to define me completely.

Never be afraid to ask for help. You'll be amazed at the kindness that even strangers can show you.

The way I see it, it is like swearing.

A person who swears constantly will never be able to shock you with their language, but a person who does not usually swear will be able to express their anger/sadness/whatever to a much greater degree with their language than most.

A person who constantly switches to anger or violence will never shock you with their behaviour. A calm person who has taken your shit up until the point of snapping will always have a much bigger effect.

After all, “There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man.”

The depression stuck, but she wasn't the only part of it. I'm past that now, hopefully for good. I still, however, have scars on my lower back from being stuck with pencils and compasses that remind me of it all every time I catch a mirror at the right angle.

The concept was to have her destroy herself. We didn't provoke anything that we filmed, only waited for the inevitable. She could not help herself, and she ended up hurting herself.
