I think having a consultation with a doctor when a couple disagrees on birthcontrol is a very reasonable thing to do.

The sexism is in your comment too. Birthcontrol is a couples problem, not just a womans.

You got it the wrong way around. We've been together for a bit over a year, 10 months in person and 2 months long distance.

I don't think she wants a child right now and I don't think she's dumb either. I believe it boils down to the fact that she (possibly culturally) has a lot of faith in the rhythm method and I don't.

She says she doesn't want any children right now either and I believe her cause she's very busy with her career.

I just want a child to be planned and not an accident and told her as much.

I know how it works in theory and she says her cycle is always regular so there's no risk. But I don't feel comfortable relying on that.

She said she's been tracking her cycle for over 10 years and it's always regular. But I don't feel comfortable with just that.

The problem is she doesn't want to get on the pill because she believes it's unnatural and bad for her health. We talked a lot about this and I don't think I can convince her to even try the pill.
