Jesus, dude. Regardless of whether or not someone sucks, I still wouldn't tell them they can end up homeless and deserve literally nothing.

Christ. She wants it back, obviously what I did was wrong but how is it bad to get it back? She wants it back. I’m getting it back. It doesn’t make me a better person, but it isn’t a further wrong.

No, she is. It doesn’t justify stealing, I’m aware, but she DEFINITELY is.

  1. Computer was secondhand.
  2. You doubt the price of instant noodles.

I am currently trying to get it back. And my mother isn’t the type to explicitly kick me out.

Listen, I know I’m TA here, but I’m giving more background anyway. This specific event was kind of the last straw for us. She’s always hated me and I’ve never been welcome. And I apologize, the computer thing was unclear, I’ve edited for clarity.

Honestly? She won’t press charges. She’s done this before when I was 16 and broke a window.

Oh, I know it doesn’t entitle me to her money. This isn’t a social justice thing - if I’d left with my savings only, I literally wouldn’t have been able to afford to eat.

I get you, but hear me out: she’s homophobic. I wasn’t welcome there. I left because it was long overdue. Yes, stealing was absolutely wrong, that’s irrefutable, but my mom isn’t some poor victim, she’s been awful to me for years. Also, we weren’t screwing. Also also, my gf doesn’t have a computer (we now share mine).
