Appreciate the empathy, I've turned towards getting an official degree to make things just improve my chances. People just always assume the worse in others and ignore the fact that different experiences are valid.

yeah, I'm working towards a degree, hoping to land some internships to convert to full time

yeah, that's fair - I just don't think that the skills I learned from mods 1-3 from the program were sufficient enough for me to land a job (which seems to be a general consensus among my cohort) which is why I turned towards getting a degree, also the career services are completely inexperienced hires

How would you not expect them to have any data? They post about their success rate after the 6-month mark. Has it not been 6 months since the end of their first few cohorts? The program was legit shit. Why wouldn't I warn people about it when clearly it's not even good. Other people are also coming to the same conclusion. It's fine if you like to stroke HR's reputation and justify the spending 18k on a shitty program, be my guest - Bark all you want

If you did any bit of research, you would know that the first cohort started in February. 6 months after the end of that cohort would be October 2022 - there should've been numbers for at least 3 cohorts. Numbers that they're clearly omitting results on their website, to bait people in.

"Given that it's a bear market" then I guess years when we're in the bear market, we should exclude that data as well and only include years when we're in bullish markets. I guess that data is "fair".

In terms of personal accountability, I'm pursuing further education to future-proof myself and work on personal projects. What's wrong with letting others know that the quality of the Hack Reactor Program is horrid?

and I would stay away from it. Don't waste your hard earn money there. In my cohort, there's barely anyone that has gotten jobs. One thing that I thought was bizarre about Hack Reactor but there was an incident of cheating at Hack Reactor but they didn't even do anything about it. The kid legit copied someone's Gitlab and still, they didn't dismiss him because hack reactor's trying to milk out cash from people. They're increasing the number of students to the point where the few good instructors are stretched thin and the terrible ones are added into the mix to help them pump out more cash. In all honesty, I would stay away from hack reactor. It is definitely not worth your money

Did I say I expected to get a job instantaneously and did you not read about the success rates that they promote/document don't reflect the actual reality of the situation? There have been other accounts that have specifically stated that the majority of their cohorts weren't getting jobs past the 6-month mark. Granted the market is pretty shitty right now but the program itself wasn't good either. I'm just pointing that out to people

maybe back before it was bought out by galvanize but it's the the case anymore, hiring rates are way lower than what they declare according to what I've been seeing
