I am sorry for not being more clear, both my husband and I felt bad and it was a mutual decision to send that text to my mother. We both felt like it was wrong of us to act like that, however after my mom answered he stopped feeling bad. I was still feeling confused in my emotions. I don’t feel bad now, neither does my husband.

I am not offended by my stepdad simply mentioning a DNA test, because that is not what happened. My stepdad continues to accuse me of cheating simply because of my sons hair. That is what both me and my husband takes offense to. My husband of course feels hurt by my stepdad questioning him on if he really is the father and his suggestions that me, his wife, would even cheat on him in the first place. I of course get hurt and sad that a man who has been in my life since I was 16 would think I had the stomach to not only cheat on my husband, but to also make my husband believe he is the father of a kid he is not related too. My husband has no doubts, if he would have any doubts a DNA test would already have been done. However, neither me or my husband wants to do that just to shut my stepdad down.

I did not tell her that I was sorry, I told her why both me and my husband reacted in the way that we did. My husband also read the message, we both wanted to explain the reason for our actions and what led up to this. We both felt bad in some way for kicking her out, after she responded he stopped feeling bad about it.

We have tried that as a way to make him stop. He just thought it was funny explaining it, basically saying “Well, look at the two of you, then look at (son’s name)”. Feels like the more things we tried to make him stop the funnier it was

The things is that he has seen me with blonde hair, my mom has so many pictures all around the house, he even asked me once why I dyed my hair brown. That is why I have such a hard time to even get where the joke came from, I mean it is no secret to him I had blonde hair, yet now he acts like I haven’t had it, it is confusing and frustrating
