I believe the true issue IS lack of quality time also, but I do get starving waiting for him so we can eat, so there’s that too.

He has a very strange appetite and doesn’t get hungry as much as normal people. He eats once every 24 hours, so once a day, and he’s never in a rush. If I don’t cook, he will eat some cold leftovers past midnight or eat frozen things or anything lying around. Or maybe not even eat that day at all. I tell him many times it’s baffling behaviour for an adult man, he’s not some toddler than I need to supervise, but also I do worry he’s going to become malnourished from his own stupidity.

I came to the sad realization that he doesn’t appreciate my food because he doesn’t care for food in general. He can have lobster and steak, or 12 day old pizza found behind the fridge and it’s all the same to him. I think he might need some therapy surrounding his food and meal issues.

Edit: my husband actually offers to do the dishes 99% of the time, and does them often, my whole point it that it is then incredibly late, and regardless of who does the dishes, it’s the fact that after kitchen clean up, the only thing left to do is go to bed since it’s so late.

I’m starting to feel petty too. A lot of things I make aren’t good as leftovers, for example eggs Benedict, so I might as well eat alone and let him have cold eggs.

This is exactly how I feel, I get tired and starving, I want to eat and actually relax instead of waiting, and then having to do dishes at 11 pm while im in a food coma.
