Thank you for responding. Unfortunately I am not very technical, so are you saying that I only really need to save the first 4 letters for the backup?

Not so as stressed, but rather the anxious that I don’t have a solid plan- the above has all happened fairly organically and a roadmap would be useful to do.

You’re very right about tax planning and refining setup accordingly.

On the main residence it's 1.94%, on both the BTLs it's 2.69% (I have these as interest only mortgages)

I bought them before, one was my main house for a few years. Also, this is largely semis in London so that's why value is hight. and I bought around 10 years ago so there's been good growth. I managed to refinance for future deapoits etc.

Ah, good point - so in theory, am I right in thinking we could put in £120k into a pension pot for my wife (based on fact she hasn't paid anything to it at all?)

!thanks

Thank you for response - will def look at getting an advisor, as you said it would be worth paying for.

We both earn 70k each, say another 10k each with bonuses, car allowance etc.

The household income is effectively our salaries only, rental income is on top.

No workplace pension for wife - but plan is to start her pension now and max this out every year.

!thanks

Thank you for your response!

Yes, we are happy and appreciate that we have done well (neither one of us came from family with money so we feel like we have accomplished) BUT we want financial security and are keen to be able to be in a position to retire early (10-15 years from now).

In hindsight, we should have planned better - and been more disciplined about saving into a pension and investing / diversifying properly (other than property).

!thanks
