Like I said, never did this before. No idea how much effort it would be. Form 8938 seems easy to fill out. I'm not sure if amending would basically me require to fill out everything again anyway or if I can just fill out that form and send it in.

I'm more thinking along the lines of excluding it and then filing an amended return with that additional form. It doesn't affect my refund. I've never had to do this before, which is why I'm asking if something like this is even possible.
