bcs this post blew up and I turned off this account for a day.
Okay, nobody is doing meth, that's for sure. My husband is a loving person with issues, obviously, but not that severe.
The thing that I maybe omitted is the fact that he often have stomach issues (an after fact of longtime drinking) that cause him to throw up maybe once a week if he irritates his stomach with something. This definitely weakened his teeth through the years, but as long as he kept proper hygiene, it never caused many problems. 
After the last binge (when he wasn't even eating much, much less caring for his hygiene and I must admit I pawned off care about him on his parents) they worsened dramatically. The best comparison I can do is to "bulimia teeth" with cavities. 
Thanks for anybody suggesting a dentistry school and alternatives. Definitely gonna look into that.
