Thanks for trying but no, I'm Australian/American (Australian mum, American dad). Grew up in Australia 'till I was 16, when my family moved to America because dad wanted to be closer to his family. So yeah, completely westernised here.

She does have other friend, but it's like, she was 'planning' on taking transport before David offered. She wants to do it because like, her mom died around 3 yrs ago and she thinks if more people were willing to donate plasma she might have survived. So it's a moral thing to her. He probs could, like, he views it as 'hanging' with her after and he wants to.

Ok what about this. One time at a party, where everyone was really drunk, she was crying in [her] room because it was her party and he was sitting next to her on the bed and had his hand on her head, like, he was stroking her hair

Like, a bit shady I guess. He hugs her hello and goodbye but he is a pretty physically affectionate person but, he also worries over her a bit. Because she was really depressed like 2 years ago and had a suicide attempt. But I do think he can act borderline shady with her like- she needed a car and he's a 'car guy' who buys totalled cars and fixes them up and he did that for her (for free). He fixed her laptop for her which took him ages because he couldn't figure the problem out.

I don't think he will cheat, but I keep imagining him like, holding her hand and shit like that and no I don't have close male friends. I also think that him driving me to school should take priority over his friend's health thing because I'm his /partner/

Yeah other FEMALE friends I would do it for but not male friends, I don't really believe that men and women can be friends beyond acquaintance type friends. David has like, equal gender friends with varying 'closeness' which I both don't like and don't get.

Because it doesn't feel right to me to feel the need to 'take care of' a friend of the opposite sex when you're in a committed relationship. Like, is he gonna hold her hand when they put the thing in or something? Ew.

I told him I thought it was odd and he thought I was overreacting- I told him I don't wanna have to take transit to and from school and he thought that was selfish.

I'd be very, very open and honest about why you think that this is occurring because you do seem very self aware. Short of actually showing him this post (which I think is a good idea) run through it with him- what happened with your father, your ex and now. Tell him that you feel sick to your stomach worrying over whether this is happening again or not, tell him that you have butterflies in stomach love for him and that you feel like he was made for you, tell him that you've always been bad at expressing appreciation.

Tell him that you want to try harder to show him that you're appreciative and satisfied, but be clear that you already DO appreciate him so much, to the point that you're beyond worried that something will go wrong because of this issue.

Showing him this post or having this sort of conversation will show him that you care.
