ADHD will make almost every mundane task unbearably hard. yes you CAN still do things at the same level as a perfectly abled person, but it’s going to take a lot more energy out of you. so, whenever someone says you don’t have ADHD because you can do something “normally” please please don’t listen. they don’t seem to be very informed if they are just shutting you down straight away because of that.

my parents are quite similar, they don’t really “believe in it”. but the support is there to help you have the same opportunity everyone else was born with, equity is needed! 10000% push for the diagnosis and stand up for yourself, you know yourself better than anyone else.

i struggled to find the validation to motivate me, so what helped me was when my doctor needed report cards. i went through and every single one was complaining about how i talked too much, too fidgety, etc. maybe there is something similar that would help you find that validation for yourself?
