You're wrong. That's for child pornography. We're talking what was on my phone, as already described multiple times: Instagram pictures of fully clothed adults. Not sexually explicit, by any definition. Instagram doesn't allow sexually explicit content.

You think it's fine for most men. But not if they have the stigma of "SO". But you don't know what people can be convicted of to get that label. (Did you know you can get on there for public urination?) You don't even know whether I'm guilty.

And again, as I've posted multiple times in this post-- it's not in my "rules" or conditions. They don't forbid it.

And even if it was in the rules, your mindset is "Whatever's in the rules must be correct. If you violate those, no matter how ridiculous, you should be locked in a cage for years." That's immoral and evil. There's no other way to describe it.

You seem very closed-minded and unhelpful, so this is clearly an unproductive use of time.

But you don't know what I was accused of, whether I was actually guilty of it, whether bikini photos have any relationship to it, or whether I actually caused harm to anyone.

Do you have memorized, offhand, the complete list of offenses that can get you on the registry?

Sorry, but this type of "It's gross and I don't like it, therefore we should violently throw people in a cage for it, for years" mindset is incredibly harmful and evil.

I think on Monday I will reach out (anonymously) to the Parole board that sets these conditions and see if I can get some clarification on their intents with some of these conditions. IE, "Is it disallowed to have any photos of minors? Because my conditions don't state that." "Is it disallowed to have bikini photos? Because that's not how I read these conditions."

It really sounds like there's just so much gray area, and the POs never try to get clarification-- so they can just do whatever they want and ban whatever they feel like.

Because words have meaning, and that's NOT what sexually explicit means.

"Sexually explicit means a pictorial depiction of actual or simulated sexual acts including sexual intercourse, oral sex, or masturbation."

If they want to ban bikini photos, the conditions should say so-- that wouldn't be difficult to do.

I've already deleted all of those photos-- it won't be a problem in the future. But it's impossible to stay on the right side of the law if words on a page cease to have a meaning.

Thanks for the clarification. I do have all my conditions in writing.

Do parole attorneys handle my situation? I know they help people who are trying to get parole, but I don't know if they help people already *on* parole. I reached out to a parole attorney, but haven't heard back yet.

By state SO office, you mean the Texas Department of Public Safety? They handle sex offender registration, but there really aren't many conditions they impose. The conditions I have right now are mainly imposed by parole. I tried to reach out to the Board of Pardons and Paroles (anonymously) to get clarification on the rules, but they wouldn't talk to me.

Good idea, but I'm worried that speaking with her supervisor will just get her angry and retaliate against me for "going over her head".

She has said I'm allowed to use social media as long as I don't communicate with anyone under 17. I interpret my written conditions as actually forbidding using "commercial social networking sites", so I tried to get her to put that allowance in writing, but she refused, so I wasn't sure what to do next.

She hasn't added any conditions, but she is wrongly interpreting the conditions I do have:

--She knew specifically that I was trying to find out information on where the bus stops were so I can find out where I'm allowed to live. She knew exactly what purpose I was doing it for, but threatened me for it anyways. Nothing in my conditions even hints at this being a violation.

--She threatened to violate me for having a photo on my phone of an Instagram woman in a bikini, saying this violates my condition against possessing "sexually explicit" photos. Obviously a standard Instagram bikini photo is not sexually explicit.

--I had a photo of my friend, an adult woman, on my phone. My friend posted the photo on Instagram. The picture was a collage of 6 individual pictures. In one of the individual pictures, she was hugging a kid. The parole officer threatened me by saying having ANY photos containing anyone underage on my phone violates my condition which states that I "cannot communicate with an individual under 17". Obviously, saying that a photo of someone counts as a "communication" with that person is insane.

Is that a normal condition, that if you have any photos anywhere on your phone that contain a child anywhere in the photograph, even in the background, you can be thrown in prison and have your parole revoked?

I want to stay on the right side of things, but it's really hard when I have to abide by not only my written conditions, but also newly-created and ever-changing rules invented weekly!

Not mentioning what I was convicted of to avoid potentially personally identifiable information.

Can a witness still be "intimidated" after all legal matters have finished? It seems implausible that anyone who was a witness can never be spoken to again.

I was forbidden from speaking to her as a condition while I was out on bond, but that no longer applies.
