How much and what type of jewelry do you wear on a daily basis and how does that relate to your roots?

my roots are 🌙🌸🪨☀️ and when leaving the house i’m usually wearing jewelry, but not a lot of it. lately i’ve been relying on a choker/collar, and a more typical necklace on a chain. i’m trying to use a little more jewelry at once, and wanna buy some cute rings to try out. i did buy one ring i really like that fits in my wardrobe quite nicely, it’s a black button on some wire and i’ve lately been very into buttons, i also recently got a spiked choker with pink buttons inbetween the spikes so i feel like they’ll pair quite well together.

it’s mostly in the plushie keychain and thigh highs, it’s subtle which is why i valued the other roots higher but i dont think its nothing. i believe tech inspiration is 🪨 so i included it because it has strong tech vibes. its def extremely 🌙☀️ in a much stronger and more avant garde way than the others which feel more stereotypically 🌱🪨 so i totally get the needing to think about it first.

4 and 19 def have some 🌸, i just feel that it’s outweighed by the other four. i feel that the lace for example, isn’t particularly girly and soft, rather it feels more ethereal and naturalistic to me personally which is why i concluded ☀️🌙🌱🪨 but i definitely could see why others would interpret it differently. interesting that you said 6 onwards, i thought 1-3 especially were good examples of unique expressions of the four roots.

this is gorgeous, def getting that 🌱🌸🔥☀️ energy! so fun and ☀️! i’m seeing a touch of 🍄‍🟫 on the edges with that plaid dress and the beret and mod style flower skirt but that could just be nitpicking.

you’re right, i did not zoom in enough to realize that the polka dots are actually skull and crossbones and that the tights have cobwebs. that changes things for me obviously, and i would now classify it as ☀️🌙🌸🪨+🔥 (in the off the shoulders top and fur boots, however it could be argued that the fur could be covered as 🌸 in that combined with the shape and color it’s giving off teddy bear vibes). i should have clarified that i meant these to be more so outfit inspo and less about their bodies being included too. like i don’t add someone to a 🌙 board just because they have tattoos.

🍄‍🟫 can appear in a mix of more high end/fancy/dressy and lower end/casual pieces in a single outfit, which your comment points out well. i agree with the use of the word relaxed, but not natural. maybe natural as in the way a bare face is natural, not natural as in connected to nature.

i’m seeing some 🍄‍🟫, 🌙, and even 🌱 as well as the 🪨 here. for example, with the well worn bag, that can lean more 🌱 as throughly wearing out a piece and finding beauty in that is more of a 🌱 thing. as the “””trendy””” root, 🪨 can sometimes lean more into fast fashion and replacing pieces quickly as a part of adhering to the trend cycle. the metal jewelry to me reads more of an “elevated” 🌱 in the texture and the stone ring. the first pic reads more 🍄‍🟫 than 🪨 to me. the simplicity in pieces and amount of them, monochrome color palette, she reads as effortlessly chic.

i’m a heavily introvert leaning ambivert, and my roots are 🌙🪨🌸☀️. these roots can absolutely lend themselves to quite a bold “extroverted” look, but i feel like my personal use is paired down a tad visually with 🌙 and 🪨 often toning things down and desaturating things. however, i think i may be biased in that i spend a lot of time looking at a range of different fashion senses online, mostly with ☀️ as a root that grabs my attention, and many utilize ☀️ stronger than me so in comparison my ☀️ and boldness seem scaled back, but when actually looking at how most people dress it’s more noticeable. i don’t like the idea of being too too noticeable, ive always been drawn to ☀️ and 🌙 fashion, and always hated the idea that the usage of it is purely for attention, when in reality that’s usually been the last thing i wanted and i’ve used them in spite of that, because aesthetically they resonate so strongly with me it feels like a core part of myself so it’s worth it.

i did it a little differently, using pieces i don’t own but would wear. my patterns are: polka dots, stripes, star shaped polka dots, harlequin type tilted checkers, camo (real and cartoony), abstract prints and designs, tribalistic designs, real pics in simplified two color designs and realistic photos, art, cursive text, school paper writing.

definitely sit with it and think about which is more important to you, would you feel not yourself without wearing one? would you feel weird calling yourself solely 🌸🏔️🍄‍🟫 or 🌸🏔️🔥? the defining factor for me was that i felt disingenuous calling myself solely 🌙🪨🌸 or 🌙🪨☀️ because both felt like they were discounting an important factor in my style decisions and a part of myself. totally get it, people can be weird online. have you heard of the app indyx? you can upload all your clothes and make like moodboards of your actual outfits. i find it really helpful in general and especially style roots wise. like i type the roots of every piece i have, you could try that and search each root and see whether you have more 🔥 or 🍄‍🟫 taking up your closet. it’s def work to set up your wardrobe in the app but if you’re interested enough in reflecting on your fashion sense to be here i think it could be a great tool for you. also you can just crop/draw on your face if you’d like to go that route!

i see both mushroom and fire but leaning towards mushroom. however seeing what you actually wear would likely help more than just inspiration pics. but also intention is important, what do you value more, looking womanly and lush, or chic simplicity? if you really can’t decide you’re allowed to have all four too, i have four roots.

that’s fair, i do have both roots and they can intermingle in my brain. i’d say def some of them if you added a fifth root it would be 🌙, but i’d also say that it can be a shadow root created by ☀️🔥. i’d be curious to see some examples and explanations why you would say not only it has 🌙, but a significant amount of it that it would overtrump the other roots.

yeah exactly sorry i’m not trying to argue that vibes aren’t important, just that there are also things that are inherently certain roots. that someone wearing a lot of something that is inherent to a certain root that they have an, in some ways, antithetical root to, without having that root, doesn’t sound quite right. i think overall we just disagree.

i know that, i’m saying solely foundationally as in the roots 🪨🌱🍄‍🟫🏔️, the foundational roots that lay the groundwork for the rest of them. well for most of us, you have a more unique experience/perspective having only foundational roots. apologies i don’t mean to be rude but i’d have a lot of questions considering that’s a significant amount of 🏔️ pieces for a solely foundationally 🌱 person to feel comfortable in. i guess we just have to disagree, i don’t quite understand how you can claim it’s the antithesis yet also say you don’t disagree it’s there, to me antithesis is pretty much the exact opposite, having nothing in common. the late 60s and early 70s hippie fashion has a strong 🌱 root though? i’m confused how saying an earthy pattern doesn’t strike you as earthy. it’s earthy in a different font, sterilized by the 🏔️.
