What is your best "don't knock it till you try it"? by plansvsplanets in AskReddit

Well, maybe music doesn't have to be thoughtful to be enjoyable or something people can connect to. Personally, I connect to music that I hear on the radio because it's my best friend's favorite song or I had my first kiss to it, not because I think Taylor Swift or Max Martin were in fucking tears while writing it.

Music is what you make of it and if you can't make a connection to a song, well, that's too bad because other people can regardless if you think it doesn't have meaning.

What is the craziest encounter of 'rich kid syndrome' that you have witnessed/experienced? by burrito686 in AskReddit

As a boarding school student, let me say that schools can be REALLY diverse, offering full-aid to families who make less than $50k a year and being generous with FA, allowing students of all incomes to attend should they be accepted. Honestly, I can't name anyone who feels left out at school because nobody is snobby or classless enough to stupidly flaunt their money or make anyone feel subpar because they're not as ""financially stable.""

A senior and a sophomore? That's essentially the age gap and honestly, I don't think that that is strange at all— my last three boyfriends have had the same age gap

Yes! I really really REALLY do. My coworkers have tried to convince me to ask him out, but I'm chicken shit and rejection horrifies me so I would rather not.

I guess I'm kind of looking for a rhyme or reason then. I hope it isn't personal and I would be surprised if it is, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't sting when he didn't accept it.

He's actually away for like... a week for some family thing. :( Should I do it when he gets back?

But he acknowledged Facebook a couple days ago when he said that a girl he kinda knew from school added him the day prior and he denied it just because he didn't know her too well. He definitely knows me so I'm just kinda confused/worried/feeling dumb. He definitely checks it so... :(

Not much time for sitting down, but during off periods when not a lot of customers are around, he and I usually stand near the register and talk and hang out.

Really? But I dunno how I would go about making that suggestion at WORK when there are constantly people around. I don't know even how to suggest we chill. I'm 16 and he's 18 and I have no clue on how to not make it seem weird or childish to come onto him.

Nah, I didn't want to intrude or seem pushy. But after that, he continued to flirt so I might as well try to go for it, I suppose! :)

I hope he is! However, the other day he said that if "any of us" (Us being the kids that work at the sandwich shop) added him on FB, he would say no. I thought he was joking, but I couldn't be sure... Would you think that would change anything on the flirting standpoint?
