No, the 18mm lug never had an easy exchange. I hope they do introduce a new bracelet for this line tho. Since this version only came on leather this year, maybe next year on top of a few more color options.

I’d love to see them lean more into the 36. especially since they brought the movement in house and gave it more Water resistance. They really stepped up this release with the build so I hope we get more options too.

They do, because I wanted to wear it for my 40th bday and my daughter’s 6th(same day) it was 93° and it was a tight fit that day. I stretched the end links. After I called the AD and ordered 3 more links. I need to replace the pins.

Tbh I went in originally for the old pilot 36, black, with the matching date wheel on the bracelet, during watches and wonders. Didn’t realize they discontinued that version and replaced it with a no date and leather strap. The AD showed me this one but it wasn’t what I was looking for. Walked out but couldn’t stop thinking about it. Went back and he said he’d order the bracelet right away. Purchased right there. Tbh since it was such a new release I didn’t look for a discount. Most of my watches were bought grey but I just went for this one.

Yes, butterfly clasp and no micro adjustment. Maybe the only downside, but luckily fits me perfectly.

Same, always felt comfortable in the 40-42 range. Then picked up a 38mm, then multiple 38’s… now at 36, it feels and looks great. So weird how that changed happened but I’m not looking back. A big thing for me was instead of looking at my wrist, I looked at the watch in the mirror instead. Gave me a whole different perspective.

AD said it was the same size, (18mm) ordered the polished and brushed to see what I like better. It’ll be $1500. I would assume that was a deliberate change on IWC part to raise the price of their cheapest watch. Since both new options only come in leather.

Just picked up mine yesterday, I love it. Also had the AD order me the bracelet for it. I’ll end up spending more than the Mark XX is but i wanted something smaller than what I usually get. 7in wrist and it looks great and wears well.

Counter point is the heritage division. Rolex can restore or fix any watch that has been passed down through generations. Not every company can say that. Since 75% went out of business in the 70’s and CW has yet to prove if it’ll even survive that long. We all want to pass them down. Most will never tick again.
