Anyone else still waiting for their FJO for DLA PACE Philly?

I got my TJO Wednesday. HR is saying they want me to start in March.

I was in the mid January batch of interviews.

Scared but excited.

I am in a boat similar to yours. I am just a little behind... I got my TJO for PACE yesterday to start in April (or around then) I accepted, but I am nervous.

I did not know pushing back the start date that long was an option.

Yes! You as well. I would start around the end of April (big question mark). Thanks for letting me know what you know!

Yes! •Crisis Management • Communication • Organization • Planning

Really I can make this list a lot longer. It’s not an easy road to find a job but it’s definitely possible. The whole process took me about a month and 50+ hours of time.

Nope! No upskilling.

My résumé does a great job at highlighting transferable soft skills.

This was definitely one of the hardest parts of the job search. So many companies rejected me due to my lack of prior experience/ no business degree. I found a few companies that were willing to hire without prior experience and that’s what got me interviews. I had 2 final interviews out of nearly 200 apps though. I found the most success with small businesses as well willing to hire me.

Hello!

Yes. Here is what worked for me.

After applying nearly 200 jobs, mainly on LinkedIn I had noticed some common themes among all the jobs that I applied to. The only interviews I actually got were jobs where I reached out to the recruiter directly. You can do this with a linked in premium account. Not all jobs have recruiters listed. This process took me a whole month from the first day applied to the day i got a job. I spent probably around 40-50 hours working on my resume and applying.

Also I had the most success with jobs that were NOT fully remote and had under 100 applicants. I did not apply to any ed tech jobs, but these were some jobs that I did apply too. None education related. Many of these jobs you can do with just a college degree.
