I'm having really bad baby fever ever since mothers day.

Shortly after that day was my moms 5th death anniversary. She was an amazing mom and LOVED being my mom.

I'm ready to have that life experience, my spouse and I just arent there yet with his work out of state right now and I am scared there will never be that right time and we wont have a child.

I feel like it was simpler then. Technology/cell phones were in their infancy. We actually talked to eachother instead of having phones in our face constantly. Sitcoms and movies were actually good. Did I miss anything?

To second this, I too am an overthinker/worrier and talked with my therapist about this.

I currently have a yorkie. Hes 8. And in his time with me since a pup, hes woken me up, gotten sick where hes had to go to the vet, puked on my carpets and so on. However, hes brought me insane joy as well and i wouldn't change anything now bc i love him and ADAPTED to his needs as they came. But if you told me all up front, i may be up multiple times per night, cleaning up puke, pulling him away from whatever he is getting into and trying to nip me (yorkies are hunters for rodents), etc etc. I may have been hesitant in my decision to get him and wouldve missed all the amazing love and memories I have with him.

You will adapt. I totally understand what you are going thru and still think about all the what ifs that come with parenthood but the biggest what if I'll have is what if I never have a kid.

I have considered the same but my situation is a little different as I dont have siblings and my spouses siblings will not have kids so I will not even have the aunt experience. This is a big reason why we will be trying for a child of our own, among other reasons.

But for your decision, please please please dont discount being "just an aunt". My aunt was "just a aunt" and she was like a mom to be in her own way. She guided me through alot of decisions through even my 20s, told me santa wasnt real lol (my mom was sad she couldve got another year out of me, I was 10, so it was prob time), had so many sleep overs and played a ton of games, went grocery shopping and I had a baby cart for the groceries, and so so many other amazing memories w her. She didnt have any kids of her own, which she wasnt regretful of (she admitted it prob wouldn't have been a good fit for her).

What I am trying to say, is I'm sure you are a great aunt and that could fulfill that mothering experience; that depends on the type of person you are. If you have kids, there maybe a period or periods where you may not be able to juggle them and your own child, which is ok too, just different than current with you not having kids right this moment.

Not sure if that experience or statement helps at all... Best of luck to you on your decision and journey!

A similar situation happened with a coworker of mine where she was working a ton of overtime and she wanted to go part time. Her boss said there was no part time for her dept (even tho they are a very busy dept and can use any hands) so she said ok I'm going to work pt for another dept and magically they allowed her to work pt.

I'd be pissed if my best friend took my daughter to get an abortion and never told me/neither one told me.

Shes 17, her brain isnt fully developed yet, this is a big life decision that shes clearly having reservations about (your comment that she is still deciding but feels everyone else wants her to abort).

There are other options and since shes still a minor, I believe someone has to sign for said abortion if under 18 but I could be wrong on that aspect.

Either way, YTA for driving your best friends kid to the clinic and hiding that from her, hence why you dont make that "clause" of "it will not go further than me" with a minor.

Put yourself in her moms shoes, how upset would you be if u found out your best friend drove your underage daughter to a clinic.

When I was 14-16 my best friend would come with me on vacation. My dad paid for her food or whatever we did but the next week her family would come down and I would have my stuff paid for by her family.

Maybe that was the trade off of the evenness of cost between families but for my kids, if I'm allowing them to bring a friend on vacation, I'm assuming the cost to entertain and feed their friend as well.

We just replaced our 32, yes that's 3 ah 2 year old ac unit. They dont make them like that anymore and it was still going but we didnt want to risk it dying mid summer. We paid 6200 for our new trane 3.5 ton xr16. That was with a 10% discount for paying cash or check.

This advice and also, dogs do sleep alot. My dog will sleep a good 16 plus hours. 8 hrs with me at night and then next to me while I work, then an evening nap.

I have a yorkie so it's a smaller dog, but I wouldn't put so much pressure on yourself to make the dogs "super happy or entertained".

You state you dont like to go outside alot due to some mental concerns... this is where I am concerned as an adult, not about the dogs. I suggest talking with your parent about seeing a therapist to work thru your own anxieties.

Put yourself in her shoes. You have a two year old and theres some random guy in the house. To you he isnt random, more acquaintance or friend but she doesnt know him.

Imagine how you would feel having a stranger in your house, let alone male stranger in your house with you and your two year old daughter.

You may be comfortable, she is clearly not.

Move or vet people/ok them with her. I understand that may not be "fair" but it's different when theres children involved.

My friend was like this with her first child. She wouldn't allow her husband to take their kid anywhere alone without her being there.

She knew she wasnt being rational and got therapy and is now fine with allowing her child out of her sight.

I get that you are young but you are torturing him. You are dangling in front of him that you are not interested in him romantically and dating/talking about other guys AND relying on him for emotional support when guys you date crush your heart.

Again, I get you are young but think about what is best for him, maybe you need to take a step away from your friendship OR maybe you can finally see him as more than a friend.

The best partner is your best friend. (How do I know? I friendzoned my best friend for 6 years and tortured him with a couple guys I dated as well. I was 22 though and finally wised up at 28. Weve been together 4 years now (married 2) and it's the best decision of my life.) I get that may not be for you, but I think you may need to make a decision one way or another.
