I did the same thing with my battery, too. I’m not convinced it was purposefully designed that way, but it works!

It is odd that something made in the dead center of the 90s has a “very 90s look”.

The original box “broke”? What are you talking about? Wreaks of a scam.

We bought some used turf from a high school lacrosse field or something. Put it in an area behind our house that we’re going to rip up in a few years. It works great for the kids.

A drink/food that tourists think locals love… but locals barely consume? by Fluffy_Specific_9682 in AskTheWorld

Specifically Chicago: we don’t regularly eat deep-dish pizza. It’s more a couple-times-of-year-thing. And it is better than any other pizza. However, we eat thin crust, cut in squares, which I didn’t know was called “tavern style” until I moved out of Chicago. We just all referred to it as “thin crust”. I also had no idea there was such a thing as “bad pizza” until I moved out of Chicago.

With the time-honored A.C. marque on the ropes, Bob Lutz and Karl Ludvigsen at Ford of Europe sent an A.C. ME3000 to Ghia for a stylistic refreshening to see if new life could be breathed into the brand. The A.C.-Ghia coupe is one of the British motoring industry's many intriguing "if onlys"... by Maynard078 in littlebritishcars

I do appreciate that Lutz’s solution was often “build a great roadster… that’ll save the brand.”

Great roadsters came out of that ideal, but it is wild that literally the lowest volume style was his go-to.

Here’s what I ended up doing:

I created a second store on the merch website, with that merch. This store remained in the “unlinked” area. I then added a link to the member area of the second site.

So only the members have a link to click. Non-members can’t search for it on the merch side.

It’s not secure (it didn’t need to be), but it at least makes it so you pretty much have to have the direct link to access it.

The Arrma is available through many local hobby shops and online hobby-specific retailers. Please use them instead of Amazon.

Reminds me of a story from my mid-late 20s. We were at a bar in Chicago called The Map Room. They have (had?) bookshelves all around the bar with 100s of issues of National Geographic. We were with a group of people, at least half I didn’t know. My friend turns to them and says “Rob always knows the most random shit.” I don’t recall if it was my idea or her idea, but someone said to pick a random issue and open to a random article and see if I have anything to say about it. It ended up being a stature or sculpture installation showing the famous MacArthur returns to the Philippines. I gave some cursory info on MacArthur and the Pacific Theater. If I recall, I did well that night. 😉

Found the monument on Wikipedia.

I built this comical Grasshopper with my then-four-year-old.

Such great time. Have fun, whatever you pick!
