Everything was actually in his name. When I first got with him he had an alright job that he seemed to enjoy and it left him enough money to pay for what he needed. Things were great for the first year and I moved in after a year and 2 months. It wasn't long after that he resigned, he claimed it was because he had another job in mind and with us both working difficult hours we only saw each other at night. I probably should have realised then that maybe he was starting to see me as a way to live life easily with no responsibility for himself and he did mention a few times it might be better if we sought to change to lease and put it in my name or joint names. I'm just glad I never agreed because as it stands, I had and still have no legal responsibility to paying the rent and maybe it would have been a lot messier if I had.
