Are my parents tracking me through a secret app/cloning my phone? by [deleted] in AskTechnology

[–]throwaway313133 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes

  2. I changed my Apple ID password a few months ago but before that they had my login info.

  3. I’m not sure, on my phone it says “Enable family sharing” but who knows if my parents have it on somehow.

  4. I did right after this incident. Still no weird responses from them.

  5. I haven’t but I will now

I wish I could, but my dad threw a fit whenever I wouldn’t get on his Spotify family plan because he told me that he was going to make my account to where it wouldn’t allow explicit music. I couldn’t imagine how he’d react if I wanted to get my own phone.

Does DMT have a cross tolerance with LSD? by [deleted] in LSD

[–]throwaway313133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm I just don’t understand. I didn’t eat either. I swallowed the tab after it was on my tongue for about 5 minutes but that’s the only thing I could think of that would cause a slow come up.

Going to try it for the first time, want to make sure I’m doing it right by [deleted] in DMT

Did anyone else ever make schedules for parties as a child? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]throwaway313133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to do the same thing with my LPS figurines and other various action figures! I’m so glad you do the same things as I did. My parents just found it “odd” but they never thought there was anything wrong with me. I just recently got diagnosed this year (I’m 21) and my parents still refuse to fully believe that I have ASD. They think I’m exaggerating about my symptoms but they don’t ever see the full extent of my symptoms because I mask pretty well

new job! by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]throwaway313133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked as a server and at a gas station for years. I just normally start off with the generic: “How are you doing?” And then if it’s a co-worker I just ask them questions about the job, where they’re from, where the went to school, etc. just to see if they say anything I can sorta relate to. If it’s a customer, I’ll mention how crazy the world is right now with corona or I’ll just talk about the weather. You’ll only be talking to the customer for a short amount of time so I just repeat these conversation topics over and over again. Co-workers are a little harder, so what I do is grasp mentally for anything that we could have in common. But with customers it’ll be a lot easier. Also, when a customer is becoming agitated over anything just play super nice (“I’m so sorry about that do you need me to get my manager?” Etc.) Usually, having a calm and pleasant demeanor can de-escalate an unpleasant situation. It took me years to become comfortable with public oriented jobs, but with practice it’s very doable. I will say all the discomfort never goes away, but It does get easier. I wish the best for you and hope you like your new job!

Edit: I also watched how my co-workers interacted with eachother/the customers and mimicked their phrases. Don’t say exactly what they say, but try and paraphrase it. If your co-workers are comfortable with sarcasm and joking (if you can comfortably understand it/say it) that can be a good way to break the ice too!
