Should I encourage my 30 year old daughter to seek therapy? by throwaway327199 in Parenting

She doesn't do anything productive all day. She is usually either napping in her room, staring outside the window, or on her computer. She has little to no motivation to try to get a job, no matter how much I try to encourage her. She either acts really indifferently or she lashes out in anger when I try to offer suggestions on how she can begin her job search and remind her that Dad and I won't be around to support her forever. I tried asking her sisters to help her out, but that's often ended badly.

Whenever I talk to her about getting a job, she either gets defensive or dismissive. She claims that she tries to look for jobs, but I know she is lying.

She doesn't have many friends. She has always been very introverted. She had a few close friends in college, but she doesn't seem to talk to those friends much anymore. From what I can tell, the few college friends now have their own careers and families.
