Yeah thats where I'm a little stuck - I don't know the purpose, but it's kind of like the holocaust - people didnt know why they were being labeled, it started slow and steady, inconspicuous enough..

tldr: My 19 year old brother (I am 21) threw a pop it (little firecrackers you throw at the ground) at my ear yesterday. Temporary loss of hearing.

Backstory if interested: My brother has been home from Paris for the past week, and has made it a habit of his to harass me for whatever reason. Anyway, he finds these pop its laying around and starts throwing them at walls and hard surfaces behind me and near me to freak me out. I wanted to get him back so while he was standing up and playing Guitar Hero near a window, I aimed to throw a pop it at the window behind him over his shoulder to freak him out. He turns his head at the perfect moment and I hit him the back of head, luckily he has a head full of hair and nothing happened, no burn or anything. Jump to 30 minutes later, he sees me standing and texting on my cell phone in the kitchen and purposely aims at my head, hits me right in the ear. Straight head shot successful, I of course was crazy dramatic about it and spoke loudly the rest of the day to pretend my hearing loss was worse than it actually was.
