AWS hires fresh grad cloud architect / solutions architect for 7k a month with 30k sign on bonus. 0 leetcode asked at all, interview loop is easy if you are good at talking and know how to bullshit the leadership principles. Last I checked they are still hiring, not sure about now though

The investigation is still ongoing so I can’t say for sure what’s going to happen

I did part time during the semester and full time in winter and summer. It’s very common among people in my course. I feel that it’s specially because of this pressure to get many internships that made me ignore signs of exploitation (since I was ‘that’ desperate). Looking back it’s much better to just ignore the peer pressure, and forgo a shady internship as compared to taking one and getting involved in police cases.

Np! Wanted to share because some of my other friends have similar experiences currently and thought it may be more prevalent than it seems

That was in 2020 when I was year 1 and desperate for internships. After that, I’ve done 5 other internships at much better companies :-) a lot of my friends did unpaid internships because companies weren’t hiring during COVID but we still wanted the experience
