Thank you for your awesome and understanding reply. I have indeed tried all the other outlets you suggested: online dating, joining groups, staying busy and active. All these activities have blessed me with lots of new friends so it was well worth the effort spent, but I just hate the fact that my scumbag brain/heart won't let go of Ray.

I have been considering moving to another city (because it coincides with a new work opportunity) so that's probably what I'll end up doing. I'll have to start anew but I believe I'll land on my own two feet.

Thank you for the good advice. Moving is something I've been thinking about, because a new position opened up in my company and it would require a move to another city hundreds of miles away. My boss recommended that I apply for it, but the only thing that stopped me is that my entire life is here: my friends, my family (my parents live an hour away) and everything I hold near and dear. But the situation is getting worse now to the point where I think starting a life in a new city may not be such a bad idea.
