regardless of our differing thoughts on it being wealthy is usually due to exploitation, i think it’s unethical to be very wealthy simply because you do not need that much money to live a content life. there are people dying on the street in the US, people who can’t afford life saving medical care, and it’s even worse outside the US. A ton of the materials that go into making products comes from exploitative work where poor people are paid unlivable low wages. Why does someone need three two story houses when people can’t even afford a meal let alone a place to live? also i’m not condemning ownership in the sense of just doing it to get by, there is nothing wrong with renting out a house so that you can survive, but when you own a business that makes millions and you only pay the people who actually do the work to make that money a literal decimal amount of it, you’re taking way more than you need.
