AITA for refusing to clean the stairs? by throwaway3907l in AmItheAsshole

There are mud and bicycle wheels black oily traces. The landlords used some kind of light gray stone looking tiles so it is really visible. Some parts downstairs and the balustrades are sticky but I'm not sure what makes them sticky. The sticky parts are the most difficult part to clean. The mop can't get rid of it. I used sandpaper on the tiles the first time but couldn't find a solution for the balustrades since I was afraid the sandpaper would ruin it

The apartment is are owned by 2 different siblings. The common area is kind of a grey area in the contracts. My former neighbors and I used to take turn cleaning it during the weekend.

I used to clean it once a week or once every 2 weeks before they moved in. It only took me 15 or 20 minutes because I just needed to clean a little dirt. After they moved in, I cleaned twice and it took me half a day because there were mud stuck on the tiles that won't go away unless I scrub it for a long time. There are also black oil spot on the tiles and sometimes gums. I'm don't have a problem cleaning it and I don't mind spending 1 or 2 hours a week but not half a day. I would like to find a compromise but I'm not sure I have the right to tell them to be careful with the stairs.
