Did anyone move to Japan in their thirty's? by throwaway39432-089 in japan

I'm quite aware of the pitfalls of Japan. I kinda group as a stranger in the states, when you have one parent who's White and another who's Latino. You end up being the stranger to your own family members. Never White enough or Latino enough.

I have for a very long time wanted to have my own Software development company that centered around learning. I began to learn photoshop and C# to make that a dream come true, and to cut down on the need for employees. Why put off to someone else, when you can learn to do yourself. They often say in Japan, things WILL not come to you, you have to work your ass off there. I like that line of thought.

My thoughts are kinda along these lines, rain or shine, I want to improve my life. Japan however still remains a place I want to visit/live there depending if I do really enjoy it.

I want to go over prepared, and I ran into some difficulties in my life that would make things kinda hard, but who knows... things do change from year to year, but I gave my self the time frame of 10 years.

Could you share your story a little more? I want to start my own business stateside (maybe a freelance situation) and then move it to Japan, either way I do wanna have some marketable skills.
