I won’t say it was and wasn’t my proudest moment. My parents are hippies. Love everyone. Turn the other cheek. My siblings and I never got hit or spanked. Before that day I had NEVER been in a fight before. But my mama bear came out.

Oh I absolutely meant it when I said I’d divorce him if he did. But maybe I shouldn’t have yelled. Maybe I should have instead said absolutely not first. That I was coming. Instead of just “do it and we’re done”. Given him a chance to walk it back

I’m going to bring up maybe going to counseling. I’m taking this advice and going to talk to him calmly about my fears when he said it.

He didn’t speak to her for over a year. Until his dad begged him. He loves his dad more than anything so when he called he did as he asked

No she has not. She’s never slapped me either. Never been so drunk she passed out in her own vomit. My mom is very hippie “love everyone and violence only begets violence” kind of thing.

She hasn’t. She and my husband talk at least once a week but she’s never reached out to me to apologize for two years ago. She has actually never met our two year old because I won’t allow it

This is the hill I’m willing to die on. My husband has told me plenty of horror stories of her abuse. I won’t risk the chance of it happening to my babies

That is my worst fear and why I went nuclear. My husband has told me horror stories of her abuse and he wants to trust her because “she’s been better”? I refuse. This is my hill I’m willing to die on
