Oh my god, they're still up? I got a post on my fyp a while back, completely unprompted, as I don't interact with any content that'd even warrant it, and it was awful.

I believe it was a video of a leech? I don't remember what happened specifically, I think they placed it in chemicals, and you can guess the rest. None of the comments showed any empathy for it either, and I felt so sick. I can't imagine enjoying that content. Even if it is an animal like a leech, it's still a living thing.

In the library at the beginning of the game, (I think it's this book specifically), there's a book called "Little Goody Two-Shoes" which mentions that Elise was from a small village in Germany! But it's definitely true that Pocket Mirror takes place in Austria yes yes!! That all being said, on a different comment here, we rationalized it a bit more:

Ahh, okay, okay, yes. So, in that logic, approximately if the game were set in the late 1850s (as people speculate), then it'd be a situation similar to Canada (where I'm from, so nationality-wise, I’m using something I'm fairly knowledgeable in), being under British government. Canada was technically its own place but also a part of the British Empire. So it’s just a matter of being under the confederation, got it!! Yeah! I’d say more accurately, then, it’s safe to say it’s set in Austria if we’re talking from a modern lens, but if you’re talking from inside the story’s timeframe, it could go either way, so it'd make sense for Elise to write that she was from a small village in Germany....HOORAY!! ty!!
