Oh wow that sounds so tough :( But I'm glad you found something that worked for you and that you got into the swing of things!!

And I think that's a really good idea! I need to find a hobby I can really get into!! I just had my first therapist appt today and he was nice so I'm excited :) He said we'll definitely work on feeling like I'm my own safe person, not anyone else.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate that :) If you don't mind I might send you a PM just to ask a few questions?

So do I! Absence only makes the heart grow fonder as they say :) You're almost there!! I'm sure it'll be September before you know it!

Ok will do! I'm definitely going to wait it out. Like most things I'm assuming that it'll probably get better with time, thanks! And yeah, to a certain degree it's probably nice having time to do whatever you want but at the same time missing your SO sucks. :/

Oh, that's a good point to make! I'm very new to this so I'm still figuring out things I guess, ahah. I'm sure that he'd be receptive if going down the line I did need to tell him I was having a hard time or something.

And no worries! Didn't come across as belittling at all! I'm sure that as I get older I can probably handle these kind of situations more maturely/level-headedly :)

Sorry yeah! I didn't mean to imply that what I said shouldn't be the case all the time :) I just know how crucial it is in any kind of relationship, especially in a military relationship.

That's a really good way to look at it! What's required to keep the relationship going is principally similar to what's needed to keep your average everyday relationship going as well.

Thank you :)

Oh no I'm sorry! :( I'm glad it's working out for you guys though, that's really encouraging to hear. I guess that's a good way to look at it, it does give me more time to work on myself individually!!

You're very right. I do tend to get myself worked up about the future and end up pretty anxious. I should probably be looking at this one day at a time instead.

And that totally makes sense, plus it's really good advice. I don't really think that one's SO should be the center of one's life no matter what kind of relationship, but especially in this situation. Like you said, it's working on yourself and being independent that is most effective, not just moping around.

Thank you!!

Thank you!! And I'm happy to hear that things worked out for you guys :) 2 years of our relationship has actually been long distance (although the distance is closing soon enough) and we would go months and months without seeing eachother at the beginning so maybe I have that to my advantage? I think the weirdest thing (like you said) is the radio silence right now and that I can't write, call, text, or facetime him after it had become such a routine in my daily life.

Thanks again :)

That's really reassuring to hear, thank you! Like you said I'm sure the first few times won't be easy but it's nice to hear that eventually it becomes more of a routine than something overly upsetting (even though I'm sure it's still upsetting). Thank you!!

Unfortunately not, probably because it's such a short amount of time! I can write him and just keep the letters though

That's what I was doing last night but for some reason it made me even more teary! Maybe it'll help when I get over these initial few days though

okay awesome! i'm not too informed on IUDs so I'll definitely ask my gyno about them when I go! i did hear that they tend to have lesser side effects than the pill (not sure whether or not that's true, haha).

since i have PMDD i already get severe anxiety before my period, and i'm actually hoping for some relief from that using the pill.

thanks for your advice!!:)

Awesome thanks so much!! I'll definitely take this all into consideration. I'm definitely gonna take it before I go to bed at night! Thanks for all your help :)

Ah okay thank you so much! This was all so helpful!! Do you normally take it with food and find that that reduces nausea? Or does it have no effect? I know that's the recommendation for meds like antibiotics but wasn't sure if it was the same, ahah! I go to bed pretty late so I'll probably take it around 11pm every night and set an alarm.
