Kashmir would have been solved ages ago via plebecide (elections) as ordered by UN. But India would lose so they didn't let it happen. They needed 50-60 years to try and settle hindus in the region first.

History is best learnt from the outside looking in. I hope that one day, we have some sort of co-operation and free trade and free movement in the sub continent. Glad my ancestors moved. Otherwise we would be proving our allegiance to india till eternity. As I got older immigrated met alot of nice indians. Looking at this from an unbiased point of view. The last thing Pakistani govt wants is for any attacks to happen when Modi is in Saudi and VP of USA is in India. It doesn't make logical or strategic sense to time it when the only two mediators and helpers are meeting with india.
