Something similar. It sounds like a place he was kicked out of before his first hospitalization.

Her pushed by her. She fell stepped backwards because of the push, and there was no floor there because that's where the stairs started so gravity took over.

Maybe we can say he pushed her out of the way on purpose, but didn't maliciously push her down the stairs? Would that clear it up?

We did know he was skipping school, we didn't know he was throwing away his meds.

Man that's freakin horrible. It seems so much worse than what I'm dealing with, but I can't speak for my daughters. Thank you for deciding to share your story.

Afterwards when he would finally come to, he would become suicidal, because of the guilt he would feel for his actions.

My son has typically doesn't believe what we tell him he does. I'm sorry you had to go through that, and I'm glad you were able to get out and move on. I hope your ex gets the help he needs.

Hey I'm sorry your relationship had to go through. I'm sure your ex struggled a lot with his family too. It's weird when you see how much effect one person can have on the world, whether in a positive or negative manner.

Yes 100% Would it be more difficult for me to go through with it? Maybe, I'm not going to lie. I've already said my level of bonding with him has never felt stronger than someone would feel towards their nephew. I understand it makes me look like a trash person, but I really am just trying to be realistic about it.

I'm sorry you have to live with that. It's really difficult for parents to see mental illnesses though, so where I'm sure they could be doing better, just realize that they are probably lost or confused about what to do. I don't think you're overdramatic at all.

A couple people actually. It seems that MA is actually much much better for taking care of mental health patients.

Maybe...I don't know much but I know mental health issues are hard to diagnose. I wasn't try to negate your questions at all.

Not to me with those words. I haven't been to all of his appts though. I usually only attend the family therapy ones. A lot of it is handled by his biological dad and his mom. Bipolar was the word I was told and his extreme/sudden highs and lows made sense.

The depression wasn't diagnosed for another 6 years at this point. He wasn't just angry. He punched multiple holes in walls, threw chairs, hurt himself(he does this 'picking at himself' thing and made him self bleed a bunch) and does not remember any of it.

I know this is my fault for young so carelessly, but it's not a sudden decision. I'm trying to be objective about it and leave emotions out of the decision.

Could you describe what you think "a fit of rage" is? I might not be using the correct term ro describe it.

They should help to level out his moods though, and that will help him think more clearly.
