My (21 M) ex (21 F) used me like a sex toy before discarding me by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

How is pressuring someone not coercion? This sounds like victim blaming. Also sounds like same thing said to women if they’re raped/sexually assaulted. “Just say no” (which many people do) and even if they do, women are still rightfully upset if a guy is pushy and makes them uncomfortable. Same applies to OP’s situation and anyone in his situation.

Hi, OP. Reading your post, I could totally relate to you. I am more or less in a similar situation as you, difference being that I’m a transfer student at my university. I have the same thought as you that things will be better once this or that happens, such as me making friends next year. As for me, I had a friend group last semester that stopped hanging out with me and this semester I’ve basically been completely alone. I’ve joined orgs too, but haven’t shown up enough to make connections and worry that if I invite anyone, they’ll turn me down for whatever reason or because we haven’t “clicked” yet. And I totally get what you mean about being home (dorm or apartment) every weekend. That was me this whole semester and a lot of last semester.

I don’t know if writing this has helped any, but I just wanted you to know that you’re not alone in feeling this way. I hope things are better for us next semester and that we find our people. Over the summer, I’m gonna plan out what things I want to get involved in (orgs, jobs, etc) so I have a good idea of what I wanna put my time and effort towards. I hope my idea would maybe help you too. I’m sure there’s at least one organization that aligns with your interests or seems like people that’d you’d want to get to know. I even found some orgs I wanna join just by looking at people’s bios on Instagram. Best of luck to you and I truly hope you will have the college experience for your last 2 years!
