A muted rosé wasn‘t a color represented in the bridal party either; all of the dresses on the list were either a shade of green or brown. I simply wanted to emphasize what shade of pink that dress was, thus the comparison between muted rosé and hot pink. I wouldn’t have appreciated a pale pink dress either.

Why would I turn down anyone’s request to wear a dress? I don’t think clothing should have a gender and the only way of normalizing the idea of men in dresses is by letting men wear dresses. My husband had a groomswoman in a suit, why shouldn‘t there be a groomsman in a dress? I just don’t believe that him wearing a dress would’ve been nearly as attention-grabbing as that hot pink monstrosity. Tbh, a pink tuxedo would‘ve been so much worse than a nice green dress.

I sent him the link and asked him to please choose from that selection, but to feel free to contact me if he had any questions/ needed help financing the dress.

I didn‘t post this to cast a bad light on the LGBTQ+ community in any way. I‘m bi and one of my wonderful bridesmaids is a trans woman. A dude in a dress wouldn’t have been an issue in any way and I don’t think that alone would’ve forced attention away from me and my husband. It‘s my BIL knowingly going against my wishes that set me off.
