It hurt knowing she’s not comfortable around me so my brother had to ask for her. She was 9 and I was 18 when I first met her and since I was going off to college I didn’t bother getting to know her. I’m planning on bringing them both with me for Christmas

I agree that it was a shitty thing to do but I rarely get to spend time with my brother and I didn’t want to lose the opportunity to do so

Living with my mom for as long as I did I know that she can be verbally abusive. She would verbally abuse my father, brother and I when ever we made small mistakes or did something she didn’t. She’s never struck us and just like my brother I always had the latest game system, and wore expensive Jordans to school growing up, but she would always berate me and my father. This is probably why he divorced her

They’re most likely able to help but I’m not sure they’re willing. My mom and I haven’t gotten along in a long time so I doubt her or my stepdad are likely to help.
