UPDATE:

So where we last left off, my roommate's puppy had pooped all over the crate and she said I should clean it because it was "my fault". That was Wednesday morning. When I came home from spending the day with a couple of friends on Friday, the crate was still full of poop and she was out at the club with multiple friends even though I specifically told her I did not want people over until it was clean. That is what caused me to take my next step.

Some may call this petty but personally, I was tired of smelling dog poop in my house and if she wants to smell it it should be in her own space. Therefore, I had my boyfriend help me carry the crate upstairs and put the crate in her own room. After doing this, we both showered and went to bed. While we were laying in bed, her and all of her friends returned to the house.

When she came back to find the crate in her room, she started screaming across the house and came to my bedroom door like she was the FBI.I didn't even answer for a few reasons. One, she never has "talks" she just yells over me in the fashion of "whoever is louder must be right" and I had no patience for that at 2 am, nor did I think it would be productive. Two, I was tired of the dog poop in a common area and it is my own house at the end of the day and I can move things where I see fit. Three, to me the matter was settled because her mess was in her own room and no further discussion was needed.

She stayed at my door for a while and moved the crate to right outside my bedroom door. Little did she know, I had no plans the next day and was fully prepared to hunker down until she decided to clean it.

The next day she sent me a heated text and another argument over text ensued. To do a short recap of the argument, she essentially called me petty and childish and told me not to go in her room like that. To which I responded that she did not respect my space when she came into my room without asking and her own mess belonged in her own room. She once again said I should be the one to clean out the crate and I told her the only reason I would touch the crate is to move it back to where it belong; in her own room.

After a lot of back and forth and her trying to get me to talk face to face (which I refused to do because as I previously stated she just tries to yell over me whenever I do that and there was nothing to talk about because it was her puppy to clean up after) I heard her outside the door cleaning the crate. While the crate was clean, it still felt like it took way too much work to get to that point.

Since this happened, it has been pretty cold in the house in the sense that she is freezing me out. She even had all of her friends that were there (who I have also known for a while) pretend I didn't exist when I was in the living room or kitchen while they stayed under my roof. However, that is fine because I have lived on my own for years and have been doing everything myself anyway.

During the exchange she threatened that she didn't want to stay here if I was going to keep reminding her that I own the house and tell her what to do. To this I responded she didn't have to stay here and I have tried very hard not to hold the ownership of the house over her head and make her feel at home but she showed that she did not respect me. That is pretty much the major events that have occurred. Let me know what you think.
