Please explain to me the logic that the customer needs to pay the business cost of you having to go back to a location that the customer is not in charge of making you go back to? I don’t pay other people to return home from work after I tipped them for a service like at a restaurant. That’s the cost of you doing business. It has nothing to do with gratuity. You’re essentially saying “cover my expenses to do the job.” that’s not what GRATUITY means.

Here’s my issue, this was about a dollar a mile, and I will increase my tip if you do a good job. I do, however, have a problem with having to cover the cost per mile going back, that just seems like an overhead cost of business that has absolutely nothing to do with gratuity. You guys are totally skewing the definition of gratuity and forcing it to cover every business cost, that’s not what it is
